Plain terms for a simple product. Use Shortline to shorten and measure links you have a right to share, and we will keep them resolving.
You need an account to create links that persist. You are responsible for what happens under it, including anything done by people you invite into your workspace. Keep your password and API keys to yourself; an API key grants full access to the workspace it belongs to, and you can revoke one at any time from Settings.
Short links hide their destination by design, which makes them attractive to people acting in bad faith. The following will get a link removed and, on repetition, a workspace closed.
Plan limits are published on the pricing page and are enforced on link creation, not on redirects. If you exceed your monthly allowance, existing links keep resolving and clicks keep being recorded — we will never break a live link over billing. New link creation pauses until the meter resets or you move up a plan.
Paid plans renew automatically until cancelled. Cancelling takes effect at the end of the current period, and you keep full access until then.
Your links keep resolving for thirty days after a workspace is closed or a paid plan lapses, so you have time to repoint anything already in print. Export every link and every click as CSV before then; the export is available on all plans, including free.
We aim for the redirect path to be available continuously, and it is deliberately the simplest part of the system for that reason. Enterprise plans can carry a written uptime commitment. On other plans, Shortline is provided as-is, without a warranty, and our liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the preceding twelve months.
If these terms change materially we will tell workspace owners by email before the change takes effect. Continuing to use Shortline after that means accepting the new terms.
