The six that come up most. If yours is not here, the answer is almost always yes and included.
- What happens when I hit the monthly limit?
- Your links keep redirecting and clicks keep being recorded — we never break a live link over billing. You will see a banner in the dashboard, and new link creation pauses until the meter resets on the first of the month or you move up a plan.
- Is anything held back on the free plan?
- No. Password protection, expiry, click limits, geo and device targeting, cloaking, custom social cards, split tests, conversion tracking, webhooks and the API are all on from the free tier. The only difference between plans is volume, seats, domains and how long we keep your history.
- Do I need a credit card to start?
- No. The free plan does not ask for one, and it does not expire into a trial. Create a workspace and start shortening.
- Can I bring my own domain?
- Yes, on every plan, including free. Add it in the dashboard and point its DNS at Shortline. Certificates are issued and renewed for you.
- What happens to my links if I cancel?
- They keep resolving for 30 days while you migrate, and you can export every link and every click as CSV at any time, on any plan, including free. There is no export paywall.
- How do you compare to Dub on price?
